Web 2.0 is fascinating me. I am digging content, bookmarking it and syndicating RSS Feeds. If this sounds alien to you then you must be living in a very old age. This is the age of Web 2.0. Forget brust of dotcom bubble. It was way back in 90s . Now its the time for Web 2.0. Now you make ask – What’s this Web 2.0 exactly ?

Officially speaking Web 2.0 was a term discoverd by a conference brainstorming session between O’Reilly and MediaLive International but in a general term Web 2.0 is the new Avatar of Internet. Now that Avatar is too a Web 2.0 term. This new web has coined in lots of new terms and lots of new way online enthusiasts can use Internet. Digging, Social Bookmarking, Social Networking, Avatar, etc these are few terms we see now every day in our life. Even if you never have heard of Web 2.0 you must have heard these terms once in recent times.

Since the advent of Web 2.0 Online world has been breeding place for many people. Even a new trend of working from home has too started since the start of Web 2.0. Things which were impossible a decade ago are common these days. 10 years back where on earth could you think a 18 year old boy from a Third world country could turn his fortune by making a multi million dollar deal with a millionaire living in other part of world. But this does happen now. Today we can see a small Online Video Sharing site built in a Garage of a teenager sold in billions in just few months of its operation. Basically, Web 2.0’s major feature is its User generated content. Whether it is Yutube, Myspace, Facebook, hi5, Orkut, Digg, or blogger, all of them have user generated content. This is the main feature of Web 2.0 sites. The admin of the site does not play major deals in success of the site. It is its user that makes it a Success.
